Give children the opportunity to apply everything they know about telling the time to the hour by using this fun Year 2 Tell the Time to the Hour Discussion Problem resource. For this activity, children are presented with a problem-solving task where they need to work out the time from the children's clues, draw the hands on the clocks and write the time underneath. This incorporates all the skills taught in this lesson and gives children the chance to showcase them all within the same question.
Use this at the end of your lesson as an independent task or ask children to work out the solution in pairs or groups. Alternatively, this can be displayed on screen for children to discuss the outcome as a whole class, or use this in an intervention to challenge children.
