Differentiation:

Questions 1, 4 and 7 (Varied Fluency)
Developing Match the main clauses with an appropriate relative clause. Uses the relative pronouns who and which, and clauses are at the end of the sentences.
Expected Match the main clauses with an appropriate relative clause. Uses the relative pronouns who, when and whose, and clauses are at the end of the sentences.
Greater Depth Complete a relative clause to match the main clause. Uses the relative pronouns whom, whomever and which, and clauses are embedded in the middle of the sentences.

Questions 2, 5 and 8 (Varied Fluency)
Developing Choose the most appropriate relative pronoun to insert into given sentences. Choice of who and which. Relative clause at the end of the given sentence.
Expected Choose the most appropriate relative pronoun to insert into a given sentence. Choice of who, when, whose, where and that. Some relative clauses embedded in the middle of given sentences.
Greater Depth Choose the most appropriate relative pronouns to insert into a given sentence. Choice of who, whoever, that, which and where. Relative clauses embedded in the middle of given sentences and some sentences have multiple relative pronouns.

Developing Write a relative clause to fit at the end of a sentence using a relative pronoun when given a choice of who or which.
Expected Write a relative clause to fit in the middle of a sentence using a relative pronoun when given a choice of that, when or which.
Greater Depth Write a relative clause to fit in the middle of a sentence using a relative pronoun when given a choice of which, whom or whatever.
