Some people love dressing up and others not so much!
Here at Classroom Secrets, Claire asked the team what costumes they have created in the past that have been easy to create. Here are some of our ideas:
Mr Twit is always good for teachers that wear a brown suit to work anyway. Add a beard from a fancy dress shop and glue some cornflakes and pasta shells to it.
Sherlock Holmes – wear a trench coat, deerstalker and a dodgy moustache (fake or real!)
Lots of books are set at night – such as Peace at Last – wear a Pair of pyjamas and slippers (comfy and easy!)
The Day the Crayons Quit - Dress all in one colour, make a quick pointy hat out of cardboard of the same colour and go as your favourite coloured pencil
Me and My Shadow - Dress all in black - go as your own shadow!
Mr Bump – Pop a bandage on your head
Room on the Broom (or any other witches) – simply reuse your Halloween witch costume if you have
Where’s Wally – Grab a red and white striped shirt, blue trousers or skirt, and a matching beanie.
Another idea is to draw the front cover of a book onto a t-shirt – simple but effective!
Hefty Hugh or Lanky Len from What the Ladybird Heard - striped top, jeans, woolly hat and a map of where to find the fine prize cow.
The Cat in the Hat – a pair of black trousers and a red and white striped top. Add a tall and a red and white striped hat, draw on whiskers and a black nose.
