National Curriculum Objectives

Mathematics Year 1: (1M4) Tell the time to the hour and half past the hour and draw the hands on a clock face to show these times
Mathematics Year 2: (2M4) Tell and write the time to five minutes, including quarter past/to the hour and draw the hands on a clock face to show these times
Mathematics Year 3: (3M4c) Tell and write the time from an analogue clock, including using Roman numerals from I to XII, and 12-hour and 24-hour clocks

Differentiation:

Beginner Match clocks with words. O'clock and half past only.  Aimed at Year 1 Developing.

Easy Match clocks with words and some 12 hour notation. O'clock and half past only.  Aimed at Year 1 Secure/Year 2 Emerging.

Tricky Match clocks with words and some 12 hour notation. O'clock, half past, quarter past and quarter to only.  Aimed at Year 2 Developing.

Expert Match clocks with words and some 12 hour notation. Some clocks have Roman numerals. Intervals of 5 minutes.  Aimed at Year 3 Developing.

Brainbox Match clocks with words and some 24 hour notation. Some clocks have Roman numerals and some have only the numbers 3, 6 and 9. Intervals of 5 minutes.  Aimed at Year 3 Secure.

Genius Match clocks with words and some 24 hour notation. Some clocks have Roman numerals and some have only the numbers 3, 6 and 9. Intervals of 1 minute.  Aimed at Year 3 Mastery.
