Differentiation:

Beginner Includes 3 text types (a diary, a formal letter and a non-chronological report), followed by examples of finding and copying evidence from the text. Aimed at Year 3 Developing/Year 4 Emerging.

Easy Includes 3 text types (a diary, a formal letter and a non-chronological report), followed by a greater number examples of finding and copying evidence from the text. Aimed at Year 3 Secure/Year 4 Developing/Year 5 Emerging.

Tricky Includes 4 different text types (a diary, a formal letter, a non-chronological report and an informal letter) with a wider range of vocabulary, followed by examples of finding and copying evidence from the text. Aimed at Year 3 Mastery/Year 4 Secure/Year 5 Developing/Year 6 Emerging.

Expert Includes 4 different text types (a diary, a formal letter, a non-chronological report and an informal letter) with an even wider range of vocabulary, followed by trickier examples of finding and copying evidence from the text.​​ Aimed at Year 4 Mastery/Year 5 Secure/Year 6 Developing.

Worksheets include answers.
