How is it only February?!

Honestly, I'm usually the opposite and wonder where the time has gone, but while it certainly hasn't dragged, I'm kind of in awe at everything we've packed into the year so far!

One of the things we've really pushed on so far is recruitment. At the moment, we have four NEW roles out (the company does not currently have anyone fulfilling these roles officially) and we've put out resource creators and proofreading for a third time since January with a £4000 pay rise and £5000 pay rise respectively. It's our mission to attract and keep brilliant people, plus, we had a really good year and so Ed and I wanted to celebrate that.

If you're in the Yorkshire/Lancashire/Manchester area and you're thinking about leaving teaching, I hope you'll recognise the huge commitment we've made here to help teachers genuinely find a job that they can love, use their teaching experience for and afford to live on. Are you going to apply?

Also this week, we've been shortlisted for an award!!!! So flipping exciting! We've been so busy over the last 6 years trying to do such a good job to support you guys that we haven't had any chance to apply for anything like this so we're so surprised to have given it a shot and been shortlisted first time! And, in true Classroom Secrets' style, we're taking a team of FOURTEEN to the awards because we felt like everyone deserved it so much and Ed and I wanted to reward everyone.

I'm currently at a hotel in Peterborough as I'm attending a business summit this weekend and it's the first time I've gone more than 24 hours without seeing my 2 year old and first night I've ever been away from my 8 month old. (cry) I've survived though and it's been good get inspired.

This week we've included resources that might be useful for events happening at the moment or soon, such as Fairtrade Fortnight, World Book Day and Pancake Day.
