Tricky Subtracting fractions with different denominators. One denominator is a multiple of the other. Aimed at Year 4 Greater Depth/Year 5 Expected/ Year 6 Developing.

Expert Subtracting fractions with different denominators (some are improper fractions). Denominators are not factors/multiples of each other. Some answers may be simplified or converted to mixed numbers. Aimed at Year 5 Greater Depth/ Year 6 Expected.

Mathematics Year 3: (3F4) Add and subtract fractions with the same denominator within one whole [for example, 5/7 + 1/7 = 6/7 ]

Mathematics Year 6: (6F4) Add and subtract fractions with different denominators and mixed numbers, using the concept of equivalent fractions
