About this Resource

This resource could be used independently or in pairs.

There are multiple activities as part of this resource. The first section requires pupils to look at the given map and find out which countries and capital cities Santa has visited by using an atlas to cross reference the destinations. The second activity requires pupils to measure the journeys accurately in cm using a ruler and then order them from shortest to furthest. The third activity requires pupils to find out the hidden word by using the first letter of the capital city from the four shortest routes.

We recommend self or peer marking using the answer page provided to promote discussion and self-correction.
