This Year 1 Compare Statements 1 lesson covers the prior learning of comparing groups of objects, before moving onto the main skill of comparing statements including calculations and numbers.
The interactive lesson slides recap the prior learning before moving on to the main skill. Children can then practise further by completing the activities and can extend their learning by completing an engaging extension task.

Mathematics Year 1: (1N2c) Read and write numbers from 1 to 20 in numerals and words
Mathematics Year 1: (1C8) Solve one-step problems involving multiplication and division, by calculating the answer using concrete objects, pictorial representations and arrays with the support of the teacher
Mathematics Year 1: (1C2b) Read, write and interpret mathematical statements involving addition (+), subtraction (–) and equals (=) signs
