Equivalent Fractions 2 Lesson

This Year 4 Equivalent Fractions 2 lesson covers the prior learning of using patterns and representations to identify equivalent fractions, before moving onto the main skill of multiplying the numerator and denominator by the same number to find equivalent fractions.

The lesson starts with a prior learning worksheet to check pupils’ understanding. If they need more practice, you can choose other resources for the step here. The interactive lesson slides recap the prior learning before moving on to the main skill. Children can then practise further by completing the activities and can extend their learning by completing an engaging extension task.
