Year 6 Decimals Consolidation

This Year 6 Decimals Consolidation lesson revisits the main teaching points from our Decimals block.

The lesson starts with the interactive lesson slides to revisit the learning from Decimals. Children practise their skills with an interactive activity and apply their knowledge by completing the consolidation pack.

National Curriculum Objectives

Mathematics Year 6: (6F6) Associate a fraction with division and calculate decimal fraction equivalents [for example, 0.375] for a simple fraction [for example, 3/8]

Mathematics Year 6: (6F9a) Identify the value of each digit in numbers given to three decimal places and multiply and divide numbers by 10, 100 and 1,000 giving answers up to three decimal places

Mathematics Year 6: (6F9b) Multiply one-digit numbers with up to two-decimal places by whole numbers

Mathematics Year 6: (6F9c) Use written division methods in cases where the answer has up to two decimal places
