Long Division 3 Lesson
This Year 6 Long Division 3 lesson covers the prior learning of using long division to divide 4-digit numbers by 2-digit numbers, before moving onto the main skill of using long division where there are remainders.
The lesson starts with a prior learning worksheet to check pupils’ understanding. The interactive lesson slides recap the prior learning before moving on to the main skill. Children can then practise further by completing the activities and can extend their learning by completing an engaging extension task.

Mathematics Year 6: (6C7c) Divide numbers up to 4 digits by a 2-digit whole number using the formal written method of long division, and interpret remainders as whole number remainders, fractions, or by rounding as appropriate for the context
