National Curriculum Objectives
Mathematics Year 1: (1C2a) Add and subtract one-digit and two-digit numbers to 20, including zero
Mathematics Year 2: (2C1) Recall and use addition and subtraction facts to 20 fluently, and derive and use related facts up to 100

Differentiation:

Beginner Add together two two-digit numbers making a total of less than 20. Aimed at Year 1 Secure/Year 2 Emerging.

Easy Add together two two-digit numbers making a total of 30, 40 or 50. Aimed at Year 2 Developing.

Tricky Add together two two-digit numbers making a total of 60, 70, 80 or 90. Aimed at Year 2 Secure.

Expert Add together two two-digit numbers making a totals both below 100 and above 100. Aimed at Year 2 Mastery.
