Learning how to use both familiar and new punctuation correctly (see English appendix 2) including:

Year 2 English: (2G5.2) full stops

Year 2 English: (2G5.3) question marks

Year 2 English: (2G5.4) exclamation marks

Year 2 English: (2G5.5) commas for lists

Year 2 English: (2G5.8) apostrophes for contracted forms

Year 2 English: (2G5.8) apostrophes for the possessive (singular)

Differentiation:

Beginner Missing full stops or question marks with two options. Aimed at Year 1 Developing.

Easy Missing full stops, question marks or exclamation marks with three options. Aimed at Year 1 Secure/Year 2 Emerging.

Tricky Missing full stops, question marks, exclamation marks, commas or apostrophes with three options. Aimed at Year 2 Developing.

Expert Missing full stops, question marks, exclamation marks, commas or apostrophes with four options. Aimed at Year 1 Mastery/Year 2 Secure.
