The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark Chapter 6 Comprehension Whole Class Guided Reading

The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark Chapter 6 Comprehension for Whole Class Guided Reading includes differentiated questions and activities based on chapter three of the popular story by Jill Tomlinson.* We recommend using this novel with Year 2. In chapter 6, Plop is having his dinner. His father invites Plop to go hunting with him, but Plop refuses. His father agrees to go and get more food for Plop while he waits back at the tree. Plop's mother also goes hunting so Plop decides to go and meet the man who is on the ground below. The man shows Plop the different stars in the sky and shows him the Pole Star so he never gets lost. When Plop gets back to his tree, his parents are already there and Plop enjoys sharing his new knowledge about the stars with them. They are surprised that Plop doesn't send them out hunting for more food. For the first time, Plop sleeps through the whole day!
