Use this Asteroid challenge sheet to support and assess pupils' growing confidence with division facts relating to the 1-12 times tables. It includes three challenges:

• The main challenge presents division facts in a random order.

• The Shining Bright challenge supports children by presenting each division fact with the corresponding multiplication fact.

• The Stellar Performance challenge asks pupils to recall related division facts, infer with word problems and complete a number grid.

  This resource could be used as an intervention, help to boost a class’ recall, or work as a whole-school program that children can work through from Year 1 to Year 6. The resource includes a certificate to encourage participation through the 'Reach for the Universe' challenges. Once children have completed this challenge, they can travel to a comet by using their times table recall with decimals.
