An image of the Christmas Wrapping Paper Resource

Children will enjoy this fun and festive resource to create their own Christmas wrapping paper. Pupils will place biscuit cutters into paint and then print on paper to make their own design. They may go for a random selection or design their own repeating pattern. There are plenty of opportunities for colour and shape recognition, as well as developing fine motor skills. The activity has a clear and easy-to-follow structure for an adult to lead.

Curriculum Objectives

  • Use a range of small tools, including scissors, paint brushes and cutlery
  • Safely use and explore a variety of materials, tools and techniques, experimenting with colour, design, texture, form and function
  • Share their creations, explaining the process they have used
