An engaging activity that encourages children to be kind and helpful, this EYFS Jack and Jill circle time activity is adult-led with a clear and easy to follow structure. There are regular opportunities for discussion with suggested questions around being helpful towards others. The activity then moves on to an engaging and practical task to help children develop their understanding. Finally, the activity is brought to a close with children reflecting on what they have learnt.

It covers the following objectives for children in reception:

Express their feelings and consider the feelings of others.

Show resilience and perseverance in the face of challenge.
