This EYFS Jack and Jill Writing Activity allows children to develop their letter formation, spelling and sentence skills by writing about the pictures from the rhyme. There are eight images for children to write about.
It covers the following objectives for children in reception:
Form lower-case and capital letters correctly.
Spell words by identifying the sounds and then writing the sound with letter/s.
Write short sentences with words with known sound-letter correspondences using a capital letter and full stop.
Re-read what they have written to check that it makes sense.
