Superheroes, vehicles, animals, you name it, we've got it! Our EYFS Subitising to 10 Loop Cards include themes for all occasions. This learning activity enables children to practise their subitising skills as well as helping them to understand the cardinal principle of number, i.e. the numeral indicates how many objects there are. The game could be played like dominoes; a card placed in the centre and children take it in turns to see if they can match one of their cards to form a loop. Multiple sets may need to be printed depending on the number of players. Alternatively, the cards can be used as a memory game if just the quantities are used.

It covers the following objectives for children in reception:

(M-21) Count objects, actions and sounds.

(M-22) Subitise.

(M-23) Link the number symbol (numeral) with its cardinal number value.
