Our KS1 and KS2 Mixed Mental Maths Early Morning Work pack is the perfect way to start your day! It includes five differentiated worksheets, meaning there's one for each day of the week. The worksheets include seven differentiated levels that test children's mental maths recall across the whole of the primary curriculum from year 1 up to year 6! Here's a breakdown of how we suggest the differentiation is used:

Beginner Mixed mental maths questions. Aimed at Year 1 Secure/Year 2 Emerging.

Easy Mixed mental maths questions. Aimed at Year 2 Secure/Year 3 Emerging.

Tricky Mixed mental maths questions. Aimed at Year 3 Secure/Year 4 Emerging.

Expert Mixed mental maths questions. Aimed at Year 4 Secure/Year 5 Emerging.

Brainbox Mixed mental maths questions. Aimed at Year 5 Secure/Year 6 Emerging.

Genius Mixed mental maths questions. Aimed at Year 6 Secure.

This resource can be used by children independently. We'd recommend that you just give children the relevant strip of questions for your year group rather than the whole worksheet. Each worksheet includes an answer page that children can use to peer or self-assess their work, or use this as a marking guide to give children immediate feedback. It is great for morning work or any busy transition period throughout the day as a tool to settle children into learning mode again.
