Teachers all know that some children find transition day a bit tricky. Help them to overcome their nerves with this KS1 and KS2 Rhyming Couplets Poem Transition Pack. It's differentiated into three levels to promote teamwork and collaboration within small groups focusing on a rhyming couplets poem.

These activities are designed to promote British Values by encouraging each group to discuss ideas, support each other and to be tolerant and respectful of the views and opinions of others, whilst working in mixed ability groups.

The children must rearrange a transition poem of rhyming couplets in the order they think is correct. They must then explain their reasons for this order. Through further discussion about the year gone by and the year to come, each group will write their own rhyming couplets to read aloud to the class. Check it out today!
