If you've reached the ninth chapter of Maz Evans' Who Let the Gods Out?, it must be time for our Who Let the Gods Out? Chapter 9 Whole Class Guided Reading Pack! Whether you read with your class or a smaller group, you'll find an abundance of questions (and answers) to use as you make your way through the chapter. These questions cover a variety of reading objectives, are presented in two formats (chronologically for use when reading and also as written comprehensions) and are differentiated four ways, all to give you choice.

The pack also includes four differentiated challenge activities, which incorporate elements of the wider English curriculum into questions about the chapter. Just as with the first section of the resource, these questions all come with answers, to make things a bit faster and easier for you!

• English Year 5 & Year 6: Maintain positive attitudes to reading and understanding of what is read.
• English Year 5 & Year 6: Understand what they read by exploring the meaning of words in context; drawing inferences and justifying inferences with evidence; summarising the main ideas drawn from more than one paragraph and identifying key details that support the main ideas; and identifying how language, structure and presentation contribute to meaning.
• English Year 5 & Year 6: Evaluate how authors use language, including figurative language, considering the impact on the reader.
