After all the children’s hard work drawing inspiration from the book, How to Train Your Dragon, it is now time for them to plan an amazing piece of writing with this activity.

First, we need to take some time to pull together what they have learned and allow them the time to practise writing high quality sentences to include in their writing. There are key areas of focus provided to help guide them as well as a word bank to promote a rich vocabulary.

There is also a version of these worksheets included in our teaching PowerPoint which could be displayed on the working wall and added to over the course of the lessons.
