Please note that we do not have reading skills resources for every chapter of this book. Every effort has been made to ensure a wide range of questions have been included in the chapters we have resourced, covering each content domain.

Whether you do guided reading as a whole class or in smaller groups, the abundance of questions and inherent flexibility of our Rooftoppers Chapters 7 and 8 Reading Skills pack is sure to make tackling these two chapters of Katherine Rundell's novel an absolute breeze! In the pack, you will find a broad array of comprehension questions arranged by reading skill. These cover all eight reading domains for Key Stage 2, so you can choose whether to focus on one or two in your session, or go for the whole lot. Every question comes with an answer too!

We've also included some written answer practice in the pack. This section is designed to mimic the sorts of questions found in SATs reading papers and, alongside familiarising children with those question styles, is just a great way to teach them to structure written answers well. As with the other questions in the pack, the written answer practice comes with an answer sheet. Ideal!
