Use this Y5 Compare Negative Numbers Varied Fluency resource to give your class an opportunity to compare positive and negative numbers using comparison symbols.

In the first two questions, children are provided with visual support in the form of a number line and in the third question, they progress to working without. Each question has two similar parts to ensure they develop independence as they work. Comparison symbols are used throughout the worksheet.
