Worksheet

Children can build their confidence with comparing the capacity in different containers using this Year 1 Compare Capacity Varied Fluency. Children will compare the capacity of different containers using comparative language such as more than, less than and equal to. They will also use inequality symbols to compare capacities.

There is also a reasoning and problem solving worksheet available for this step.

Give it a try!

Teaching note: Inequality symbols are included in this step as they were introduced in Au Block 1 Step 12. Although this is a Y2 objective, they can be used as a visual aid to improve fluency as children continue comparing numbers and measures.
