Challenge pupils and inspire their curiosity with our Year 1 Doubles Discussion Problem. Doubles may be a breeze for some children in your class, but giving them this task will get their minds ticking! Children will complete a set of loop cards by matching numbers with their double value. They will use mixed representations including Base 10, number pieces and words.

You may enlarge this activity onto A3 paper so the cards can be cut out and physically placed in the correct loop. Why not challenge children further by asking them to create their own set of loop cards for a partner to solve?
