This lovely Year 1 Improve a Microhabitat Worksheet is a wonderful activity to help children explore microhabitats and think of ways to improve an existing microhabitat that has been affected by humans.

This worksheet contains two boxes to draw what the microhabitat looked like before and after the improvements. There's also a section for children to outline the improvements they made.
