Prepare children for using half past times with this Year 1 Tell the Time to the Half Hour Prior Learning activity. The questions in this resource covers the previously taught objective of halving shapes and objects. This assesses pupils' understanding of halves, to ensure they are ready for the learning that the minute hand is halfway around the clock for half past times.

They will match half shapes, draw lines to split shapes in half and identify shapes that have been correctly halved. Use at the start of your lesson or the start of your week.
