Are your class ready to apply their knowledge of the alphabet to some reasoning and application questions? Look no further than our Year 1 The Alphabet Application and Reasoning resource. We've taken the time to differentiate this resource into three levels of challenge to offer you choice for all learners. Each worksheet includes two application style questions and a reasoning style question. To help children gain a secure knowledge of the alphabet, we've given them two of each question type to practise with. The questions all support English Year 1: Name the letters of the alphabet in order, which is a statement from the National Curriculum.
Use this as an independent task in class or as an activity in your provision area. You could also use this in an adult-led group to encourage collaborative working. There's a handy answer sheet for you to refer to when you're marking if needed too.
