These Year 1 investigation worksheets guide children to explore the different types of trees around their school and record what they find using a simple chart.
As they observe each tree, children look closely at features such as leaves, the trunk, size and overall appearance. They then compare their findings to spot similarities and differences between the trees. This supports early scientific enquiry, builds key vocabulary and helps children begin to classify trees based on their characteristics.
