Do you want to give your children an extra challenge to push their place value knowledge even further? Why not download this Year 2 10s on the Number Line to 100 activity. We have created two open-ended problems that encourage mathematical thinking and collaborative working. These discussion problems are perfect to consolidate learning of tens numbers on a number line to 100.

Use this resource as an extension activity or after any varied fluency and reasoning and problem-solving activities. Display them on your board for a fantastic way to end any lesson with an open class discussion! Alternatively, use them in pairs or a small group to assess whether children have understood this key concept before moving onto the next objective. A comprehensive answer has been provided to show children how the problems could be solved.
