This Year 2 Counting in 2s, 5s and 10s Teaching PPT helps children further develop their confidence in counting using multiples of 2, 5 and 10. They will learn how to recognise counting patterns, continue number sequences, and count forwards and backwards in equal steps using visual representations and practical contexts.

The content is organised into Let’s Learn sections, where new concepts and vocabulary are clearly modelled, and Let’s Practise sections, where pupils can immediately apply their learning through short, focused activities.

To deepen understanding, the PPT includes reasoning and problem-solving questions, giving children opportunities to explain patterns, spot mistakes and apply their counting skills in different contexts.
