This resource focuses on Year 1 objectives of place value and number in order to prepare children for the main learning taking place in this lesson. We have created three varied fluency questions, two problem solving questions and a reasoning question for children to consolidate their place value knowledge before moving onto counting objects to 100 by making 10s.
Use this worksheet as a pre-assessment task to begin your lesson. Alternatively, it could be used in a small intervention group to challenge children further or to support children in their learning when required.
