This Year 2 Time Mistake Investigators resource offers a variety of carefully structured questions designed to strengthen children’s reasoning and problem-solving skills by identifying and explaining mistakes.

Each objective includes four questions: one correct answer and three incorrect options. Children are encouraged to spot the mistakes, decide which answer is correct and explain their thinking.

The questions are intended for group work to spark discussion and collaborative learning. They cover key time objectives including: tell and write the time to five minutes; compare and sequence intervals of time; and know the number of minutes in an hour and the number of hours in a day. A range of visual representations are provided to support children's thinking.

If you’re looking for a resource that helps children develop their reasoning skills while becoming more confident, investigative learners, this is the perfect choice!
