This My Caribbean Journey Guided Reading Pack takes the form of a letter written by an African slave to his family. It introduces children to the inhumane practice of slavery and the terrible conditions and treatment that people suffered. The resource includes comprehension questions along with vocabulary and grammar, punctuation and spelling activities. This guided reading pack would be useful during Black History Month to signify the injustice of inequality.
