Let us take the stress out of creating questions to teach children the skill of using apostrophes for contraction. Use this Year 3 Apostrophes 1 Modelling PowerPoint instead. This resource includes a variety of varied fluency questions, two application questions and a reasoning question presented in this no nonsense format. An answer slide follows each question slide so that children can get immediate feedback on their answers.

Use this to introduce children to the style of questions they'll encounter on the accompanying worksheets in this lesson. Alternatively, this can be used in an intervention group to recap skills, or display the questions on screen for children to answer them as an extension activity.
