With our discussion problems, you can encourage the development of reasoning and problem-solving skills in your class. This Year 3 Days and Hours Discussion Problem includes two in-depth questions that promote discussion amongst your class. Allow children to work in partners or small groups so they can find the most efficient ways of working.

An answer page including example answers for each question is included with this resource, though more answers may be possible. Allowing children to mark their own work could help to develop their self-correction skills.
