Are your class ready to apply their knowledge and understanding of measuring in grams and kilograms? Let them try out our Year 3 Measure Mass Discussion Problem. This resource includes two deeper thinking problem-solving questions for children to get their teeth stuck into. They can practise their investigative skills by working methodically and apply everything they have learnt in this lesson.

Use at the end of your lesson, as a paired or small group activity. Alternatively, this could be used in an intervention session to offer additional challenge where needed, or simply display one of the questions on screen and open up the mathematical discussion to the whole class. An example answer is provided for each question for children to compare their outcomes to too.
