Worksheet

Use this Year 3 Reasoning about Multiplication Varied Fluency resource to remind your class of what multiplication means and what it looks like as an array. Arrays are used in questions 1 and 2 to help children compare sets of objects and make a statement about them using comparison symbols. In the third question, they write calculations and compare them with the help of a base 10 representation.

An answer sheet is included to assist busy teachers with marking and for pupils when self-marking.

A reasoning and problem solving resource is also available for this small step.
