Give your class the opportunity to put their understanding of 2D shapes to the test when they try out this Year 3 Recognise and Describe 2D Shapes Varied Fluency resource. This activity consists of four different varied fluency style questions and two of each type to help children's confidence grow. It includes questions about lines of symmetry, angles and the skill of drawing and recognising 2D shapes. We've included three levels of differentiation to support and challenge all learners in your class.

Use this as an independent task in class following your teaching input. Alternatively, this can be used as a homework resource or a task in an intervention programme; the choice is yours! There's an easy-to-follow answer page to speed up your marking, or use it as a peer or self-assessment tool.
