What’s included in the Year 3 Sharing and Grouping Homework resource and why is it useful?

Year 3 Sharing and Grouping Homework is a worksheet to consolidate this step after it has been taught, at home or in class. The content includes two varied fluency questions, one problem solving question and a full answer sheet, covering dividing by sharing and grouping, completing division calculations and sorting numbers by how they divide.

Expected

  • Q1 using representations to complete division calculations, then matching them together.
  • Q2 sorting numbers and quantities into a table by whether they can be grouped or shared into 2s, 5s or 10s.
  • Q3 finding three possible numbers of buns that could be shared equally between 5 baskets, from more than 15 to fewer than 55.

How do our maths homework resources work?

Our maths homework resources are not part of our adaptive maths resources, but they can be used alongside for consolidation purposes and to give children more opportunities to practise.
