This Year 3 Tenths Varied Fluency worksheet is designed to give pupils the opportunity to practice what they have been shown on our Modelling PowerPoint and to build their confidence when recognising tenths.

Saving you time preparing questions, each worksheet presents pupils with a variety of VF questions all focused tenths and comes complete with answers to provide immediate feedback and supports self or peer assessment.

Ideal for use in class or as extra practice at home, this worksheet is differentiated to three levels of challenge to meet the needs of your class:

Developing: Using fractions with pictorial support in the form of rectangles only.

Expected: Using fractions and some words with some pictorial representations in the form of rectangles and circles.

Greater Depth: Using fractions written as words. Some pictorial representations in the form of pentagons and decagons. Shapes are shaded randomly.

Curriculum Objectives

  • Count up and down in tenths; recognise that tenths arise from dividing an object into 10 equal parts and in dividing one-digit numbers or quantities by 10
