This Year 3 Use Scales Discussion Problem has been designed to further develop children's understanding through a challenging activity. Pupils can work in pairs or small groups to work through the clues and identify where each hoop could have landed on a scale. The question is open-ended allowing an opportunity to investigate a range of solutions. A modelled answer page is included which can be used by children as a discussion point for them to then find an alternative answer.
