You're a time traveller! In this writing task children are asked to write two paragraphs to describe the new setting they find themselves in after travelling through time. Each paragraph must include at least 2 conjunctions each of time and cause and at least one conjunction of place. Children are provided with a word bank of conjunctions for inspiration.

This Year 3 Using Conjunctions to Express Time Place and Cause Application worksheet would be a great assessment tool as children use what they know about conjunctions within sentences. This activity can be completed independently but could also be used as a discussion point for small groups or interventions.
