Worksheet

Treasure hunters are digging up your school hall in the search for the king's treasure! In this writing task children are asked to consider their use of consonants in words to write a story about what happens. Children are provided with challenges to develop their writing.

This Year 3 What is a Consonant? Application worksheet would be a great assessment tool as children use what they know about consonants when writing a story. This activity can be completed independently but could also be used as a discussion point for small groups or interventions.

The worksheet comes with a model answer which can be shared with the children as a good example or to aid your marking.
