What’s included in the Year 3 What is Perimeter? Homework resource and why is it useful?

Year 3 What is Perimeter? Homework is a worksheet to consolidate this step after it has been taught, at home or in class. The content includes two varied fluency questions, one problem solving question and a full answer sheet, covering recognising which shapes have a perimeter, counting around shapes on a centimetre grid and reasoning.

Expected

  • Q1 sorting shapes into those that have a perimeter and those that do not.
  • Q2 counting around shapes on a centimetre grid to find their perimeters.
  • Q3 explaining whether Abel is correct that a partly hidden shape could have a perimeter of 30 cm.

How do our maths homework resources work?

Our maths homework resources are not part of our adaptive maths resources, but they can be used alongside for consolidation purposes and to give children more opportunities to practise.
