Use this Year 4 Estimate and Round Money Reasoning and Problem Solving resource to help your class apply their knowledge of rounding and estimating to problem solving.

The first two questions are problem solving questions which will encourage children to think flexibly in order to reach a number of different solutions. The third question is a reasoning problem which requires them to think carefully about whether a statement is correct and use mathematical language to explain their thinking. Each question has two similar parts to promote confidence and independence.

There is an answer sheet to help busy teachers and pupils when self-marking their work.
