Use this Year 4 Estimate and Round Money Varied Fluency resource to help your class understand how to use rounding when estimating the cost of a number of items.

The first question uses a number line to ensure that they understand how to round to the nearest pound. They then progress onto estimating the total of a number of items and, finally, to estimating the amount of change that they might receive. Each question has two similar parts to promote fluency.

There is an answer sheet to help busy teachers and pupils when self-marking their work.
